Ten Essential Christian Convictions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.    We must be born again by\nthe Spirit of God (John 3:5<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.    Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God (John 3:18<\/strong>,\n36<\/strong>; 6:35<\/strong>, 40<\/strong>, 47<\/strong>, 53-58<\/strong>; 8:19<\/strong>, 24<\/strong>; 11:25-26<\/strong>;\n12:48<\/strong>;\n14:6<\/strong>;\n15:23<\/strong>;\n20:30-31<\/strong>;\nGal. 3:7-9<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.    The benefits of the gospel come by faith,\nnot by works of the law (Acts 15:8-11<\/strong>; Gal. 1:6-9<\/strong>; 2:16<\/strong>, 21<\/strong>; 3:10-12<\/strong>, 22<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.    Salvation comes from Jesus Christ, our faithful\nhigh priest, the radiance of God\u2019s glory and our brother in the flesh via His\natoning, innocent shed blood (Col. 1:15-23<\/strong>; Heb. 2:14-18<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.    God exists and rewards those who seek him (Heb. 11:6<\/strong>,\n16<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.    We are saved by Jesus Christ and Him\ncrucified (1\nCor. 2:2<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.    The good news of the gospel is that Christ\ndied for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that\nhe was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and he\nappeared to many witnesses (1 Cor. 15:1-11<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.    Jesus Christ was bodily resurrected and our\nbodies will be resurrected (1 Cor. 15:12-19<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.    Jesus was manifested in the flesh,\nvindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations,\nbelieved on in the world, taken up in glory (1 Tim. 3:16<\/strong>; 1:3<\/strong>, 18-20<\/strong>; 6:3-4<\/strong>, 20-21<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.    God saved us and called us to a holy\ncalling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace,\nwhich he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been\nmanifested through the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who abolished\ndeath and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Tim. 1:8-14<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten Essential Christian Behaviors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. We repent\nand turn from our sins (Matt. 5:29-30<\/strong>; 11:20-24<\/strong>; Acts 2:38<\/strong>; 3:19<\/strong>; Heb. 10:26-27<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. We\nforgive others (Matt.\n6:14-15<\/strong>; 18:33-35<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. We are\nundivided in our devotion to God and to Jesus Christ (Matt. 6:24<\/strong>; 10:38-39<\/strong>; 19:16-30<\/strong>; John 12:24-26<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.    We publicly acknowledge Jesus before others\n(Matt. 10:32-33<\/strong>;\n21:33-44<\/strong>;\n22:1-14<\/strong>;\n26:24<\/strong>;\nJohn 5:23<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.    We obey God\u2019s commands and do not make a\npractice of sinning (John 14:15<\/strong>; 1 John 3:9-10<\/strong>; 1 John 5:2<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.    We live a life that is fruitful and not\nfleshly (Matt.\n12:33-37<\/strong>; 21:43<\/strong>; 24:36-51<\/strong>; 25:1-46<\/strong>; Gal. 5:18-24<\/strong>; 6:5<\/strong>; Heb 13:4<\/strong>; 1 Cor. 6:9-10<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.    We are humble and broken-hearted for our\nsin (Matt. 5:3<\/strong>;\n18:3-4<\/strong>;\n1 John 1:8-10<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.    We love God and love others (Matt. 22:34-40<\/strong>;\nJohn 11:35<\/strong>;\n15:12<\/strong>;\n1 Cor. 13:1-3<\/strong>;\n1 John 3:14-15<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.    We must persevere in the faith (Heb. 6:4-6<\/strong>;\n10:29-31<\/strong>;\n12:12-17<\/strong>;\n1 Cor. 9:24-27<\/strong>;\n1 Tim. 5:11-12<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
