  1. Psalm 19:7 \u201cThe law of\nthe Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statues of the Lord are\ntrustworthy, making the wise simple.\u201d \nGod\u2019s Word is true, faithfully representing His righteousness, truly\nfulfilling its purpose in the lives of those who honor them.<\/li>
  2. Psalm 19:8 \u201cThe\nprecepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the\nLord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.\u201d  His truth makes our hearts right and in turn\nwe rejoice. Through it, He gives understanding which feeds our souls.<\/li>
  3. Psalm 19:9 \u201cThe fear of\nthe Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and\naltogether righteous.\u201d  The fear\nof the Lord cleanses our hearts from the love of sin. The will of God never\nchanges and His judgments are always just.<\/li>
  4. Psalm 19:10 \u201cThey are\nmore precious than gold, than much more gold; they are sweeter than honey; than\nhoney from the comb.\u201d  Understanding\nGod\u2019s Word is more delightful than any earthly enjoyment.<\/li>
  5. Psalm 19:11 \u201cBy them is\nyour servant warned; in keeping them is great reward.\u201d  We are all warned by God\u2019s Word, those who\nheed do will reap a glorious reward!<\/li>
  6. Hebrews 4:12 \u201cFor the\nword of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it\npenetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joint and marrow; it judges the\nthoughts and attitudes of the heart.\u201d \nGod\u2019s truth is revealed to us through the Bible, actively accomplishing His\npurposes, justly penetrating deep into our soul, rightly judging our thoughts\nand the secrets of our hearts, rewarding and correcting as required.<\/li>
  7. Psalm 119:18 \u201cOpen my\neyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.\u201d  God\u2019s law opens our eyes when we ask so we\ncan clearly see his marvelous instruction which builds our faith.<\/li>
  8. 2 Timothy 3:16 \u201cAll\nScripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and\ntraining in righteousness\u2026\u201d  God\nactively wrote His infallible and authoritative Word, useful for teaching,\nrebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.<\/li>
  9. Matthew 24:35 \u201cHeaven and\nEarth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.\u201d  Jesus\u2019s words are more certain than the\nexistence of the universe. Nothing can be more firm and strong than God\u2019s Word,\nsupported by God Himself.<\/li>
  10. Psalm 119:105 \u201cYour word\nis a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.\u201d  We should use His word personally each day to\nsee the way He would have us go.<\/li>
  11. Psalm 119:11 \u201cI have\nhidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.\u201d  Our hearts are kept by the Word when we keep\nthe Word in our hearts. We should carefully and eagerly seek to obtain and\nunderstand God\u2019s Word to keep us from wandering. Our goal: that we might not\nsin against Him.<\/li>
  12. James 1:21 \u201cTherefore,\nget rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept\nthe word planted in you, which can save you. \u201c  His Word is both filter and sustainer,\nessential to every believer\u2019s walk.  <\/li>
  13. Isaiah 55:11 \u201cso is my\nword that goes out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but will\naccomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.\u201d  Knowing, understanding and doing God\u2019s Word produces\nfruitfulness as we accomplish His will. We will also experience God\u2019s grace and\npleasure from being obedient followers.<\/li>
  14. Romans 15:4 \u201cFor\neverything that was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the\nencouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.\u201d His word is our\npersonal life-line, ministering to us emotionally, physically, psychologically\nand spiritually.<\/li>
  15. Luke 11:28 \u201cHe replied,\n\u201cBlessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.\u201d  Blessings come to obedient followers of the Word.\nThere is great happiness when we receive God\u2019s Word, understand it, apply it\nand allow it to bear fruit based in obedience. <\/li>
  16. Matthew 7:24-25 \u201cTherefore\neveryone who hears these words of mine and puts them into great practice is\nlike a wise man who built his house on the rock.\u201d  Biblical wisdom is the ability to know what\nis right and what it wrong.  Hearing and\ndoing sustains us.  <\/li>
  17. Matthew 4:4 \u201cJesus\nanswered, \u201cIt is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word\nthat comes from the mouth of God.\u201d \nJust like God gave the Israelites manna in a supernatural way, so he\nalso gives us his Word. God\u2019s word fortifies us and gives us instruction in\ndefeating Satan\u2019s temptations, blunting his attacks and avoiding his wiles.<\/li>
  18. 1 Peter 2:2 \u201cLike\nnewborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in\nyour salvation\u2026\u201d  We should consume\nGod\u2019s Word which is our spiritual food, essential in helping us to grow spiritually\nmature, active in the service of our King.<\/li>
  19. Proverbs 2:6 \u201cFor the\nLord gives wisdom and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.\u201d  God is the One who gives us true wisdom and\nunderstanding. We must not attribute wisdom as our own, but to the grace of\nGod, acknowledging Him in our ways.<\/li>
  20. John 8:31-32, 17:17\n\u201cTo the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, \u201cIf you\nhold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth,\nand the truth will set you free.\u201d (8: 31-32)\n\u201cSanctify them by the truth; your word is truth\u201d\n(17:17) \nWhen we read and believe God\u2019s Word and hold fast to it, we prove to be\ntrue followers of Christ – experiencing His direction and confirmation,\nliberated from the bondage of sin.<\/li>
  21. Romans 10:17 \u201cConsequently,\nfaith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word\nof Christ.\u201d  God speaks His\nmessage through us, His messengers, in line with His Word. God\u2019s will is to\nsend us forth to proclaim His truth, so that all would have opportunity to come\nto a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ \u2013 repented, reconciled, redeemed, restored,\nrenewed and resurrected in the new life found only in Jesus and his Word.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
