1. The\nrapture of the church. Christ comes in the clouds to \u201csnatch away\u201d all those\nwho trust in Him (1 Corinthians 15:52). At this same time, the \u201cdead in Christ\u201d\nwill be resurrected and taken to heaven, too. From a pretribulation\nperspective, this is the next event in the eschatological timeline. The rapture\nis imminent; no other biblical prophecy needs<\/em>\nto be fulfilled before the rapture happens.  \nThe question, given seals broken marking time known as the beginning of\nsorrows (preliminary sorrows, trouble and evil in society and nature; yet\nevangelism continues per Mt. 24:5-14) is when Christ chooses to come. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. The rise\nof the Antichrist. After the church is taken out of the way (2 Thessalonians\n2:7\u20138), a satanically empowered man will gain worldwide control with promises\nof peace (Revelation 13:1; Daniel 9:27). He will be aided by another man,\ncalled the false prophet, who heads up a religious system that requires worship\nof the Antichrist (Revelation 19:20).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. The\ntribulation. A period of seven years in which God\u2019s judgment is poured out on\nsinful humanity (Revelation 6\u201316). The Antichrist\u2019s rise to power is associated\nwith this time period. During the tribulation on earth, the Church will be in\nheaven. It is thought that at this time the Judgment Seat of Christ and the\nMarriage Supper of the Lamb will occur in heaven (2 Corinthians 5:10;\nRevelation 19:6\u201310).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. The\nBattle of Gog and Magog. In the first part of the tribulation, a great army\nfrom the north, in alliance with several other countries from the Middle East\nand Africa, attacks Israel and is defeated by God\u2019s supernatural intervention\n(Ezekiel 38\u201339). (Some commentators place this battle just before the start of\nthe tribulation.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. The\nabomination of desolation. At the midway point of the seven-year tribulation,\nthe Antichrist breaks his covenant with Israel and shows his true colors. The\nJews are scattered, and many of them turn to the Lord, realizing that Jesus is\ntheir Savior. A great persecution breaks out against all those who believe in\nChrist (Daniel 12:11; Mark 13:14; Revelation 12:17).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. The Battle\nof Armageddon. At the end of the tribulation, Jesus returns with the armies of\nheaven (Mark 14:62). He saves Jerusalem from annihilation and defeats the\narmies of the nations fighting under the banner of the Antichrist (Revelation\n19:11\u201321). The Antichrist and the false prophet are captured and thrown alive\ninto the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. The judgment of the nations. Christ will judge the\nsurvivors of the tribulation, separating the righteous from the wicked as\n\u201csheep\u201d and \u201cgoats\u201d (Matthew 25:31\u201346). (It is thought that at this time the\nOld Testament saints will be raised from the dead.) The righteous will enter\nthe Millennial Kingdom; the wicked will be cast into hell. So, the righteous do not need to be judged and the survivors\nof the past 7 years will be the following 3 groups? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Those converted since\nthe rapture <\/li>
  2. The remnants of the\nAntiChrist\u2019s followers<\/li>
  3. The fence-sitters, a\nmixture of the stupid, the selfishly independent (ever rebellious to all\nauthority), and the proud who did not bow to the AntiChrist but never followed\nChrist either.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    8. The\nbinding of Satan. Satan will be bound and held in a bottomless pit for the next\n1,000 years (Revelation 20:1\u20133).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    9. The\nMillennial Kingdom. Jesus Himself will rule the world, and Jerusalem will be\nthe capital. This will be a 1,000-year period of peace and prosperity on earth\n(Revelation 20; Isaiah 60\u201362). Memorial sacrifices will be offered in a rebuilt\ntemple in Jerusalem (Ezekiel 40\u201348).  But pain, death, and sorrow continue, per #12?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    10. The last\nbattle. At the end of the 1,000 years, Satan will be released from his prison\nfor a short time. He will deceive the nations once again, and there will be a\nrebellion against the Lord that will be quickly defeated (Revelation 20:7\u201310).\nSatan will be cast into the lake of fire, never to reappear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    11. The\nGreat White Throne Judgment. All those in hell will be brought forth, and all\nthe wicked from all eras of history will be resurrected to stand before God in\na final judgment (Revelation 20:11\u201315). The verdicts are read, and all of\nsinful humanity is cast into the lake of fire. \nThis will be the vast majority of humanity as\nmost rejected God, Christ or sat on the fence (inferring non-acceptance).  What of those prior to Jesus\u2019 sacrifice?  Do the Jew\u2019s ritual sacrifices count for\nsomething in their favor, i.e. covering sin?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    12. The new\ncreation. God completely remakes the heavens and the earth. It is at this time\nthat God wipes away all tears and there will be no more pain, death, or sorrow.\nThe New Jerusalem descends from heaven, and the children of God will enjoy\neternity with Him (Revelation 21\u201322).  I like this.  It\ncompletely rebukes the assertions of the Jehovah\u2019s Witnesses that there is no\nheaven, only a new earth. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
